On my ipod it lists the artists name twice or three times!!?

A. Sometimes if you download songs off of the internet, the songs come pre-programmed with info that iTunes reads and inputs into the program. Even if the artist is same for other songs you may have, iTunes recognizes it as a different artist, and therefore it shows up as a separate artist within your iPod. I have found that if you go through and copy the artist's name from one song and paste it into all the artist's songs within iTunes, then the same info will be input for each song, and all the songs should show up under one artist name within your iPod. It's sort of a pain to go through your iPod and find all the songs that need fixing (especially if you have huge library like I do), but it'll make your iPod much more organized and less… [cont.]

Professional artists, a question about gallery contracts?
Q. I have been invited to sign a 12 month exclusive contract with a reputable gallery that has great national connections and exposure.(this is my first such experience) If you were in this position what would your top five important issues be. I would love artists with or without gallery experience to give a top five list of artist centered ideals, to aid in my brainstorming before negotiating this contract. Of course I have my own...but I think I am in a position to affect a bit of change. (not ego-maniac...just in a unique demographic position in many ways) Please tell me what you think!!! =))) thank you!

A. 1. What percentage of each painting sold does the gallery collect? 2. How many guaranteed showings can I expect? 3. Will you advertise my showings? If so what media will you use & how far in advance? 4.What is their defination of exclusive? Does that mean I can not give or sell privately paintings not in the show? 5. How many paintings per show? How much much time to prepare. Will the showings be theme based. Do I still have artistic license or does the gallery now own me? 6. What if (God forbid) there is a poor showing, am I at risk in any way? I too am a artist. wow, dream come true. Congrats!!!

I have songs in the iPod but the artist is not in the list of artists?
Q. Example: In the music library in iTunes I have these Phil Collins songs. When all is synched, I can't see Phil Collins as an artist. But when I go to Albums, the album is there and so are the songs. Why is that?

A. Either Phil Collins didn't write the songs or, possibly, the artist is listed as Genesis
