Region is most commonly a geographical term that is used in various ways among the different branches of geography. In general, a region is a medium-scale area of land or water, smaller than the whole areas of interest (which could be, for example, the world, a nation, a river basin, mountain range, and so on), and larger than a specific site. A region may be seen as a collection of smaller units (as in "the New England states") or as one part of a larger whole (as in "the New England region of the United States"). Regions can be defined by physical characteristics, human characteristics, and functional characteristics. As a way of describing spatial areas, the concept of regions is important and widely used among the many branches of geography, each of which can describe areas in regional terms. For example, ecoregion is a term used in environmental geography, cultural region in cultural geography, bioregion in biogeography, and so on. The field of geography that studies regions themselves is called regional geography.

In the fields of physical geography, ecology, biogeography, zoogeography, and environmental geography, regions tend to be based on natural features such as ecosystems or biotopes, biomes, drainage basins, mountain ranges, soil types, and so on.

How old would I have to be to work at a small regional airport?
Q. I have always enjoyed watching airplanes. How old would I have to be to work at my small regional airport? My airport is East Texas Regional Airport.
Asked by Andy - Mon Nov 10 18:34:30 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It kind of depends. Some small FBOs really don't have a minimum age, and I've had 15 year old kids fuel my aircraft (who probably had more hours than me!). Larger airports like GGG probably have municipality oversight. There are lots of places to work there, but I would ask the airport at their site: See what they say. Don't underestimate the folks in aviation. They are usually willing to help a young person who is interested in flying, if they can. Good luck.

Is Associates in Aviation enough to get a job in Regional Airlines?
Q. I believe most of them do not require pilots to have any degree. Can I get Associates in Aviation and all the Pilot Ratings from Single to Multi Engine-instructor. Would that be enough to get a job in regional airlines? If I have Associates degree and more hours of flying, do I get hired first in comparison of the one who has bachelor but less hours than me?
Asked by AMERICAN - Sun Aug 19 03:29:34 2007 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments

A. This is what they look for in the interview How many flying hours does this person have? What aircraft have they flown? How does their personality fit in with our airline? Having a degree is a bonus but it won't get you the job. There is a pilot shortage in the world at the moment so you have a good chance of getting a job without a degree but if have the time to get one. Go ahead and do it incase your aviation career falls apart you will have something else to fall back on!

What can I expect on a third interview at Chase Bank with a regional manager for a personal banker position ?
Q. It's my third interview for a personal banker position at Chase Bank. The first one was with the recruiter, second with the branch manager, and now this third one with the regional manager. Second interview went really well and was over an hour. What can I expect on this third one ? Thank you for your answers.

A. Congrats on getting this far...As a Chase employee you pretty much already have the job...The regional manager is really powerful and wants to get an idea of what you want to do later on down the line with Chase ie... Financial Advisor, Business Banker, or Branch Manager...THe regional managers are usually more laid back then the District Managers as well...Good Luck Hope This Helps!
